Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular – PRN Days Work Location 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093 Work Schedule PRN Days; Ideally looking for a consistent schedule of the same day(s) weekly for outpatient hospital‑based clinic support. Cardiovascular Program Highlights Primary patient populations will be Structural Heart (TAVR) and Heart Failure. Growing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical programs. Primary Heart Attack Center. Vision to continue growth and development of our high acuity capabilities to care for all patients. Qualifications BSN, Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Required). MSN, Master’s Degree Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program (Required). RN – Registered Nurse (Upon Hire Required). APRN – Advanced Practice Nurse (Upon Hire Required). NP – Nurse Practitioner (Upon Hire Required). 2 (Two) Years experience as a Nurse Practitioner. One (1) Year cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery patient experience strongly preferred. BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly). ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Within 30 days of hire preferred. Responsibilities Utilizes principles and skills in communication and interviewing techniques in obtaining a comprehensive health history to formulate a plan of care and make decisions for appropriate therapeutic interventions. Uses principles and skills in advanced health assessment for differentiating normal and abnormal findings. Synthesizes knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, culture, and socioeconomics to assess, evaluate, and provide therapeutic interventions to patients. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes in order to promote continuity of care. Initiates actions to meet patients/families needs.
