Assistant Property Manager
Join Our Team as an Assistant Property Manager!
Are you an experienced property management professional with a passion for customer service, leasing, and community operations? 2211 Grand Isle Apartments in Brandon, Florida is seeking a motivated Assistant Property Manager to support our Business Manager and help drive occupancy, resident satisfaction, and financial performance at our multi-unit residential community.
This is a great opportunity for a leasing consultant, assistant manager, or property administrator looking to grow their career in apartment community management.
What You'll Do
- Provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current residents
- Show available apartments and lease apartments in accordance with Fair Housing Laws
- Qualify prospective residents by verifying rental history, employment, and credit history
- Prepare lease documentation for new and renewing residents
- Collect and process rent, application fees, and security deposits daily
- Contact residents regarding delinquent balances and manage collections
- Assist with weekly and monthly reports, budgeting, and bookkeeping
- Coordinate move-in/move-out inspections and apartment turnovers
- Handle resident service requests and coordinate with maintenance staff
- Assist in marketing, advertising, and community events to boost occupancy
- Support renewal programs and help maintain a profitable, well-run community
- Step in to manage daily operations in the Business Manager's absence
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of property management experience (required)
- Yardi Voyager experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
- Strong sales, marketing, and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of landlord/tenant laws, lease terminology, and Fair Housing regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
- Self-starter who can work independently and take initiative
- Reliable transportation
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend shifts
