Job Title: Sr. Music Producer A little bit about our team: Warner Chappell Production Music (WCPM) is a global leader in production and custom music. With a catalog of over 200,000 tracks and state‑of‑the‑art recording studios in Los Angeles, the team composes and produces custom music‑for‑picture for a premier client base spanning TV, film, streaming, advertising, and news. Your Role: As a full‑time Producer on WCPM’s high‑energy team, you will operate out of our Hollywood studios and report to the US Head of Production. In this dual‑threat role, you will produce and executive‑produce projects while spearheading our custom music‑for‑picture initiatives. Responsibilities: Produce and executive‑produce custom music‑for‑picture projects for TV, film, and advertising. Oversee freelance composers and producers to ensure world‑class music and sound design. Lead creative liaison between WCPM and external production partners, balancing budgetary and schedule constraints. Act as primary creative bridge to the Warner Chappell Music ecosystem, building relationships with A&R and sync teams, songwriters, and producers. Recommend and oversee freelance composers, songwriters, and producers for both library and custom music while maintaining WCPM’s high standards. Source musicians, vocalists, editors, orchestrators, and arrangers for custom and library projects as needed. Provide creative briefs, timely feedback, reviews of demos and mixes, and ideas for cover art; work with production team to ensure quality control prior to delivery. Work closely with creative, legal, engineering, accounting, and licensing teams to ensure professional project delivery. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, potential clients, and composers to support their needs and keep WCPM top of mind. Suggest and implement streamlining of efficiencies, including production workflow, archiving, delivery formats, and the like. Qualifications: Proven experience composing to picture for TV, advertising, and/or film. Experience developing sonic identities for series and brands, ensuring cohesive musical language across a season or franchise. Strong ability to interpret abstract creative direction from showrunners and directors, translating narrative themes into actionable musical briefs. Extensive experience navigating the post‑production lifecycle, including temp‑score replacement and dubbing stages. Experience working with and/or overseeing composers and producers. Strong interpersonal skills and experience pitching to clients, conducting creative meetings, and overseeing recording sessions with clients in attendance. High aesthetic and technical standards commensurate with WCPM’s high‑quality products and services. Experience negotiating fees and compiling production budgets. Knowledge of recording studio operations, including studio assistants, music editors, copyists, and related positions. Experience in a variety of genres ranging from orchestral to hip‑hop to country to swing to pop and beyond. Understanding of publishing, master, and sync rights. Working knowledge of AFM and SAG‑AFTRA regulations regarding session musicians and vocalists. Working knowledge of multimodal generative AI tools, AI music generation tools, prompt search, AI datasets, and vectors as they relate to music recognition. Team player who thrives in a collaborative, creative environment. At least 10+ years of professional experience in a music production or post‑production environment. Proven relationships with executive producers, showunners, and heads of production at major networks and streaming platforms. Experience in custom music packages for unscripted programming, with additional library support. Proficiency in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and other industry‑standard DAWs.
