Anesthesia Technician

The Anesthesia Technician supports anesthesia providers and perioperative teams by preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, supplies, and environments to ensure safe, efficient delivery of anesthesia care in an acute care hospital. This role ensures anesthesia workstations, airway equipment, monitoring devices, and emergency supplies are clean, functional, stocked, and immediately available for surgical and procedural cases. The Anesthesia Technician contributes directly to patient safety, infection prevention, room readiness, and procedural throughput. Collaborates with all departments that utilize Anesthesia services to ensure all equipment and supplies are available.

Job Requirements:

• Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician or Technologist program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in acute care setting as an Anesthesia Technician
• Skills: Airway equipment preparation and maintenance Knowledge of anesthesia circuits, vaporizers, and monitoring devices Serves as a liaison between Respiratory therapy and the Anesthesia department for maintenance of the difficult airway box readiness and equipment deployment Suction systems and oxygen delivery setup Equipment cleaning, disinfection, and reprocessing standards
• License / Certification: Current American Heart Association BLS, (current upon hire) as required by specialty.
