Registered Nurse Supervisor12Hr Shifts starting 7a-7p or 7p-7aThe purpose of your job position is to supervise the day-to-day activities of the facility during your shift in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards that govern the facility and as directed by your management.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAdmitting, transferring and discharging residentsAssessment and development of resident care plansEnsuring that all resident care rooms and treatment areas are clean and safeMaintaining medicine supply room well stockedMonitoring nursing staff to ensure they are complying with residents care planChecking that staff wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies when providing resident careEnsuring that nursing staff follow established hand washing and hygiene proceduresPassing out medications when neededMaking rounds with physicians as requestedAbiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwordsFollowing Infection and Control policiesConducting fire safety and disaster preparedness drills as requiredCompleting accidents/incident reports as requiredAttending meetings and serving on committeesComplying with annual facility in-service training programsEvery effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.RequirementsNursing Degree from accredited school or collegeValid RN license in good standingValid CPR and BLS cardMinimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facilityMust be able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English languageAbility to use computer or tablet to enter resident dataWorking ConditionsMay encounter frequent interruptionsMay be involved with residents, family and government agenciesMay be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at timesIs subject to call-back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)May be subjected to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoking or air contaminantsMay be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B virusesMay be exposed to or handle hazardous chemicalsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to move intermittently throughout the dayWorking throughout the nursing areasMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Lifting more weight up to 100 pounds requires assistanceAbility to read fine print on tablet, progress notes and/or medical labels
