CT TechCT Tech Profession: CT Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 20:00 - 06:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Radiology & CT License: ARRT certification in RD & CT required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Associate degree in radiologic technology - Completion of CT technology certificate program preferred - Recent experience in Radiology & CT - Ability to float between X-ray & CT departmentDescription: Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
