Start Date: 06/15/2026 Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care facility. The PTA will utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions and provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Administering procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assessing patient progress and communicating with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Reporting treatment outcomes and providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicating effectively with team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Contributing to discharge summaries and documenting all required information accurately in electronic systems.
• Participating in meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences.
• Supporting the procurement of necessary DME or supplies.
• Supervising and supporting students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Adhering to APTA guidelines, state practice acts, ethics, and codes of conduct.
• Maintaining active State Licensure when applicable.
