Your Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or autonomously (depending on your credentialing)
• Instructing patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies
• Prescribing medications and therapies as permissible within your scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, holistic care
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licensure and Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Mexico
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or a relevant specialty certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or able to acquire within 90 days)
