We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a high school team in South San Francisco, CA for the first semester of the 2026–2027 school year . This position will provide coverage for a leave through approximately the end of January , with the possibility of extending through the remainder of the school year.
Position Details

- Caseload: Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
- Number of Positions: 1
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to high school students with extensive support needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor student IEP goals.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials based on individual student needs.
- Provide academic, functional, behavioral, communication, and life-skills support as appropriate.
- Monitor student progress and maintain required Special Education documentation.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related-service providers, General Education teachers, families, and administrators.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
Requirements
- Active California CTC Education Specialist credential authorizing Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) .
- Experience working with students requiring extensive levels of support preferred.
- High school Special Education experience preferred.
Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
