Emergency Room Registered Nurse Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of Emergency Department experience required License: TX Nursing License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: EPIC experience required, accepts first-time travelers, every other weekend requirement Description: All acute emergencies including trauma, stroke, and STEMIs from all ages of life. Management of dysrhythmias. Central line care and management. IV vasopressors management. BiPAP/CPAP management. Care of ventilated patients. Isolation precautions and PPE. Triage skills required. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 175. The number of visits per day is around 175. The unit consists of 40 rooms and has 48 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses cover all acute emergencies, including trauma, stroke, and STEMIs across all age groups.
