Medical Laboratory Technician/Hematology

Job Summary Perform routine hematology and laboratory testing procedures while ensuring accurate documentation, data review, and compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements. This is an office-based role scheduled Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. What You’ll Be Doing Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines Review routine data to confirm analytical procedures are performing as expected and results are within acceptable tolerances Identify unusual results or performance issues and elevate to senior laboratory personnel Prepare data analysis results for upload into the Laboratory Information Management System under the guidance of senior staff Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned Support quality investigations, deviations, procedural updates, and implementation of laboratory changes Guide entry‑level staff on routine procedures and support onboarding and hands‑on training activities What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some College of American Pathologists and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments laboratory locations may require a Bachelor of Science in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards, such as Good Laboratory Practices Proficiency with laboratory techniques, automation or specialized laboratory equipment, and Laboratory Information Management System supported workflows Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree The Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Needed For This Role Strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple laboratory tasks simultaneously Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and communicate clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling Ability to perform routine and some non‑routine laboratory calculations, including averages, means, standard deviations, and quality control metrics Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures. The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time).
