Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography services to patients, ensuring optimal image acquisition and patient safety. Maintain compliance with professional standards and departmental protocols to support accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with attention to positioning, compression, and technique.
• Demonstrate proficiency in mammography positioning, compression, and adjusting technique factors for optimal imaging.
• Ensure all radiographic images are correctly labeled according to department SOP and transmitted to PACS promptly.
• Verify that all studies are accurately completed within the IDX system and record patient tracking information diligently.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, making necessary adjustments to meet diagnostic standards.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to radiation safety protocols and patient care standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography.
• Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Demonstrate proficiency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique.
• Maintain compliance with MQSA regulations and standards.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Prior experience working in a mammography setting preferred.
