Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech's reasonable and good-faith estimate for new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Job Summary

Quality duties include preventing, troubleshooting and problem-solving quality issues in manufacturing, and auditing manufacturing and quality procedures. Coaching Sportech personnel in aspects of product quality and the Sportech Management System (SMS). Quality technician also works very closely with internal departments and external suppliers on quality related issues. Quality technician may be involved in multiple business processes including Development, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as the quality assurance resource to value stream leadership for scrap prevention, problem identification, resolution, scrap reporting and continual improvement.
• Assist in issue, disposition and follow up on internal & supplier non-conformances.
• Performs periodic material audits to determine conformity to Sportech and customer specifications.
• Interfaces with value stream leadership and suppliers to resolve quality issues and assures conformance to all applicable requirements. This includes all applicable corrective actions.
• Acts as backup to all quality functions including receiving inspection and manufacturing inspection.
• Involved with continuous improvement projects.
• May Participate in daily cell board performance meetings in manufacturing and warehouse.
• Initiates or performs Internal or external containment activities
• Processes DMR and RFC's with ERP system
• Assists in unknown part identification
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Vocational or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Requires a high school diploma.
• Quality experience + related ISO experience.
• Completion of a quality course work and/or certification program.
• Excellent internal & external customer services skills.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficient use of computer software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to consistently wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
