Job Description Fusion Medical Staffing™ is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment, starting ASAP, in Inman, South Carolina. The role requires evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders. Position Details Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour days) Shift: 8‑hour days Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology Speech Language Pathology experience (new graduates encouraged) Additional certifications or licenses as required Essential Work Functions Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Proficiency in PC skills and the ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel. Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and assistance with procedures. Mental resilience to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain concentration. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
