About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Dept Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: - ACLS - BLS - ENPC - TNCC - NIHSS Description: CONTRACT - RN - EMERGENCY ROOM - 13 WEEKS - 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM No on-call required. The emergency department features 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast track spaces, and 5 behavioral health units. A total of 111 staff members work in the unit, including day shift charge nurses and additional mid-shifts. Patient ratios are 1:4 for emergency department patients, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients. The department is equipped with Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Candidates must possess strong multitasking abilities, be team players, and be self-starters. The dress code requires scrubs in navy blue. Typical procedures performed include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation. Candidates with trauma experience and familiarity with the electronic medical record system are preferred. The unit values teamwork and recognition, fostering a collaborative environment.
