As an Access Control Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and assisting visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, reviewing visitor authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor and access-related logs. Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions. Operate access control, alarm, camera, and communication systems in accordance with site procedures while protecting confidential information and maintaining professional interactions. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
