Senior Construction Project Manager

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to support commercial tenant improvement and capital improvement projects throughout the Radnor, PA area .

This is currently a contract position with the potential for extension. The role will support a commercial real estate portfolio and will involve managing multiple construction projects on behalf of the property owner/landlord.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction project management , particularly tenant improvement and capital projects. Experience working with design teams, contractors, leasing teams, and commercial property stakeholders is highly preferred.

Position Details

• Location: Radnor, PA and surrounding area
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Employment Type: Contract with potential for extension
• Compensation: Approximately equivalent to $120,000 annually, depending on experience
• Travel: Local travel between project sites throughout the Radnor area is required
• Driver's License: Valid driver's license required
• Position may include a combination of project site visits, office work, and occasional remote work depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial tenant improvement and capital improvement construction projects throughout the assigned portfolio.
• Represent the landlord/owner throughout the planning, design, construction, and closeout phases of projects.
• Manage projects ranging approximately from 5,000 to 100,000 square feet .
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and overall project execution.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, leasing teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in weekly project meetings with clients, design teams, leasing representatives, and construction partners.
• Review project proposals, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), bids, scopes, schedules, and contractor submissions.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, change orders, risks, and overall project progress.
• Ensure projects are completed according to agreed-upon scope, quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate design development, permitting, construction documentation, and contractor activities.
• Identify project risks or potential delays and develop appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide regular project updates, reports, schedules, and financial information to stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications, proposals, and other project documentation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail.
• Conduct project site visits to monitor construction progress and address project-related concerns.
• Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, documentation, turnover, and final completion.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–10 years of construction project management experience preferred .
• Experience managing commercial office construction, tenant improvement, or capital improvement projects strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the commercial construction process from planning and design through construction and closeout.
• Experience representing an owner, landlord, developer, or corporate real estate client is highly desirable.
• Experience coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, leasing teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Ability to review and understand construction drawings, scopes of work, RFPs, schedules, and budgets.
• Background in architecture, interior design, engineering, construction management, or a related field may also be applicable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common project management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred.
• PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required due to travel between local project sites.
