Birch Healthcare Center is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team. This multifaceted role is responsible for staff scheduling, central supply management, and medical records coordination , helping ensure smooth daily operations and excellent resident care.

Position Summary

The Staffing Coordinator serves as a key member of our administrative team by maintaining staffing schedules, supporting departmental staffing needs, overseeing central supply inventory, and assisting with medical records organization and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update employee schedules for nursing and ancillary departments

• Coordinate staffing coverage for call-offs, vacancies, and time-off requests

• Communicate scheduling changes effectively with employees and department managers

• Monitor attendance and assist with staffing reports

• Manage central supply inventory, ordering, receiving, and distribution

• Ensure adequate stock levels of resident care supplies and equipment

• Maintain medical records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

• Assist with record audits, filing, scanning, and document retention

• Support compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations

• Provide administrative support to nursing leadership and other departments as needed

Qualifications

• Previous staffing, scheduling, healthcare administrative, or long-term care experience

• Experience with scheduling software and electronic medical records 

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail and confidentiality
