Work Location Paramus, New Jersey, United States of America Hours & Pay Hours: 40per week Pay: $78,520 - $117,520USD Line of Business Personal & Commercial Banking Job Description The Store Manager I develops, leads and contributes to the growth and profitability of our Consumer Business by managing a portfolio of stores. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional employee and customer experiences, deepening customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with banking policies. Responsibilities Provide people‑management leadership by hiring, developing, and coaching talent; manage performance and compensation decisions. Supervise a small store and team, training staff to meet business goals. Act as the highest point of escalation for customer or internal issues. Originate loan applications, manage conditions of lending, and conduct loan closings. Maintain active registration with the NMLS. Drive profitability through deposits, loans, fees, and expense management. Use data‑driven reports to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities. Partner with specialists across business lines to grow the store portfolio. Analyze financial metrics and present findings to senior leadership. Customer Accountabilities Lead and coach a team that delivers superior customer service and financial advice. Ensure timely resolution of customer issues in line with guidelines. Promote the bank’s presence in the community through participation in local groups and events. Maintain a welcoming store environment and professional scheduling of staff. Shareholder Accountabilities Develop store‑specific strategies to grow deposits, investments, and loans. Collaborate with specialists and partners to broaden the store portfolio. Manage the store budget, balancing expenses with revenue objectives. Support One TD initiatives to increase cross‑line collaboration, especially digital engagement. Ensure compliance with operating policies, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Employee/Team Accountabilities Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and high‑performing team. Set clear performance objectives and provide timely feedback. Maintain HR policy compliance and manage risk related to personnel. Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement. Act as a brand ambassador for the business line and the bank. Education & Experience Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of relevant experience in retail, customer service, or financial services. 1+ year of leadership and coaching experience. Preferred: Small business and consumer lending experience. Knowledge of bank product lines, store operations, and security. Strong financial analysis, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Notary license (preferred). NMLS registration required for loan activities. OCC Language This position falls within the definition of Loan Originator under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act (12CFRPart1026.36) and Mortgage Loan Originator under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act). Eligibility for registration with the NMLS in accordance with the SAFE Act is required.
