divh2Road Warrior/Outreach Student Assistant/h2pTemporary hourly-intermittent student position available in the Student Recruitment Outreach office./ppPositions available on or after September 1, 2025 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance./ppApplicant will need to conduct and facilitate in-person and occasional virtual outreach and recruitment activities within Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin County. Duties include but are not limited to:/pulliTravel to assigned local high schools to conduct college readiness presentations and facilitate outreach activities such as application workshops, both in small and large group settings./liliBecome familiar with general admissions policies and department day-to-day operations./liliRepresent Stanislaus State at college and career fairs and manage information tables./liliEstablish and maintain direct contact with prospective students (9-12), their parents, counselors, and teachers to promote post-secondary education./liliProvide information regarding CSU admission requirements, procedures, timelines, financial aid programs, academic opportunities, and student services available at Stan State through individual and group presentations./liliCollect and report activity related data for assigned schools or areas./liliFollow up, track, and communicate with prospective students and assist them from prospect to enrollment./liliCo-orchestrate campus wide Admissions and Outreach events in collaboration with AOS staff and campus partners./liliAssist with data entry, filing, sending emails, making phone calls, scanning./liliProvide excellent and friendly customer service./liliMaintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work environment./liliFollow verbal and written directions./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliMust be excellent story tellers and public speakers./liliMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with diverse student populations./liliStudent Assistants must have 15-20 hours per week available to commit to off campus outreach activities./liliBilingual skills are preferred, but not required./liliDemonstrate friendly and courteous customer service skills./liliWorking knowledge of basic office equipment (copy machine, scanner, etc.) and programs such as Zoom, Outlook, and TEAMS./liliHigh technical and creative skills preferred./liliDemonstrates professionalism and excellent work ethic./liliAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relations with staff, high school, CSU campus and community partners./li/ulpRequired Qualifications:/pulliUndergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units./liliPost-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units./li/ulp$16.50 per hour./ppTo be considered, qualified candidates must submit a completed Stanislaus State online employment application, cover letter, and resum.
