Our 4 doctor team works together seamlessly, making this a fantastic environment for learning and mentorship.Externship OverviewVeterinary externs will work side-by-side with experienced DVMs and support staff to gain practical experience in:Patient history taking and physical examsDiagnostic workups and development of treatment plansObserving, assisting, or performing surgical procedures (based on experience)Dental cleanings and oral health assessmentsIn-house lab work and imagingMedical management of casesClient communication and teamwork with staffThis externship is ideal for students who want to sharpen both clinical and communication skills in a well-rounded, general practice setting that emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and case ownership.Program Details: Location: Austin, TX Duration: typically 2 weeks minimum, up to 4 weeks (flexible to student schedule) Open to: 3rd- and 4th-year DVM students Stipend: Up to $1,500 for eligible clinical-year students
