Inventory Associate

Job Title: Inventory Associate Location: Merritt Island, FL Job Type: Contract Hours: 40/week Shift: A Shift M-F 6am-4:30pm Pay Rate: $24 - $25.60/hour We are seeking a contract Inventory Associate. Responsibilities Continuous improvement: evaluate, monitor, and raise roadblocks that may cause downstream defects; support root cause analysis and provide problem‑solving details. Proper use of equipment: operate heavy equipment (PIT equipment, forklifts, electronic pallet jacks, reach‑trucks, turret‑trucks) safely and maintain operational practices. Receive shipments: unload deliveries from carriers. Inspect shipments: visually examine packages upon arrival and verify compliance with standard operating procedures. Quality control checks: review requirements for each part number and follow SOPs accordingly. Document receipts: use tools and equipment to upload, store, and finalize receipt or work order information. Data entry: navigate inventory management tools to input data for physical deliveries. Packaging: select appropriate packaging, wrap, and store parts throughout the fulfillment/manufacturing workflow. Sorting and staging: move packages, boxes, crates, or containers to secure locations within the workflow. Labeling and marking: ensure all parts are labeled per SOP specifications. Storage assignment/auditing: store parts per SOP, audit placement, and exercise good judgment for individual or bulk items. Qualifications At least 2+ years of fulfillment center operations experience, including receiving and inventory functions. Strong safety focus: adhere to PPE, safe operating procedures, and participate in safety training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. World‑class quality mindset, attention to detail, and dedication. Effective communication skills in a technical environment. Mathematical and analytical skills for problem definition and data analysis. Ability to derive inventory requirements from bills of material. Builds trust and maintains professional, inclusive relationships. Previous certified forklift experience.
