Senior Manager - Small Molecule

Senior Manager position overseeing small molecule laboratory operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Middleton, Wisconsin facility. Responsible for directing line leaders, managing resources, ensuring GMP compliance, and driving operational improvements across laboratory systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise line leaders and manage work priorities, communications, and resource allocation across teams
• Interact with clients and business development on proposals, scope definition, and pricing
• Review and approve laboratory investigations, deviations, QA audits, and lead client and regulatory audits
• Prepare revenue projections, ensure accurate billing, develop capacity plans, and drive project profitability
• Procure and allocate analytical instrumentation, IT resources, and laboratory space based on business needs

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in clinical laboratory science or equivalent education and training combination
• 5+ years of management responsibility with proven leadership skills
• Thorough knowledge of GMP, GCP, or GLP standards
• In-depth understanding of FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and clinical laboratory processes in drug development
• Strong project budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management capabilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic planning and organizational agility with coaching and mentoring abilities
