Employee ownership supports a collaborative culture and long-term professional growth. Role Description The Survey Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, ME. This role oversees survey projects from proposal through completion, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating field crews, reviewing survey data and drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and preparing deliverables such as plats, reports, and exhibits. The Survey Project Manager collaborates closely with civil engineers, landscape architects, and clients to define project requirements, resolve technical issues, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Additional tasks include mentoring junior staff, maintaining project documentation, and supporting business development with accurate estimates and technical input. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in land surveying, including boundary surveys and topographic surveys. Experience with building surveying and related construction layout activities. Strong general surveying skills, including field data collection, instrument use, and survey computations. Ability to manage multiple survey projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Proficiency with survey and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble or similar), and familiarity with GIS tools is beneficial. Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations, standards of practice, and documentation requirements. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering, or related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure (PLS) in Maine is a plus. Previous experience in consulting, urban redevelopment, or infrastructure projects in a similar role is highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
