Dental Hygienist - Clinic

Job Overview Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at a facility in Providence, RI. Pay Rate: $57 / hour Job Responsibilities Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient, providing high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team‑based environment. Operate GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment (if required). Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and education according to state guidelines. Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. Offer nutritional counseling and self‑care programs to prevent disease. Record and review patient medical histories. Uphold office policies, including HIPAA & OSHA. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Order and keep track of inventory as needed. Other duties as assigned. Work Environment & Physical Demands Operates in a medical/clinical environment, using standard office equipment (computers, x‑rays, phones). Works in a well‑lit, sterile environment; requires gloves, masks, protective eye‑wear and clothing per infection control standards. Must talk and hear; stand/sit for long periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach. May lift or move up to 25 lbs; may be exposed to blood and blood‑borne pathogens; requires OSHA training. Required Skills & Experience One (1) year of hands‑on experience as a hygienist. GLT equipment operation experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills & Experience N/A Required Education High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school. Required Certifications & Licensure Hold a current state‑issued Dental Hygiene license. CPR certification. X‑ray training or certification.
