Position TitlePhlebotomist - VHCMG, West AlexandriaJob DescriptionPurpose & Scope:The Phlebotomist-VHCMG performs phlebotomy and general lab-related duties within the medical practice setting. The position also includes administrative and practice support tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with point-of-care (POC) testing, excellent communication skills. While staff is assigned a home site, they may be requested to provide coverage at other office sites if needed.Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required.Experience:One year of healthcare/medical - phlebotomy experience is required.Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program is preferred.One year of hospital experience is preferred.Computer experience is preferred.Certification/Licensure:Phlebotomy certification (CPT or equivalent) is preferred.
