Roles & Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of park in outdoor areas and indoor office spaces. Execute cleaning tasks as outlined in training and Standard Operating Procedures. Complete regular and rotating weekly cleaning tasks assigned during shift periods. Clean and disinfect public areas, including outdoor park areas, walkways, restrooms, offices, food stands, host dining facilities, ride areas, and lockers. Provide exceptional guest service by assisting guests with questions or issues. Ensure park pathways are litter‑free. Return food trays to food stands and maintain clean condiment and food line areas. Ensure trash receptacles are clean, free of spills, and emptied regularly. Check toilet paper and soap dispensers in restrooms and replace supplies as needed. Sweep, mop, or scrub interior floors. Operate a trash compactor. Operate golf‑carts, vehicles, or other motorized equipment to perform daily duties. Perform basic maintenance duties, such as unclogging toilets or changing light bulbs. Report maintenance problems promptly to proper authorities. Preserve landscaping by pulling weeds and watering flowers. Clean benches and flowerbeds, keeping them free of debris. Handle, label, and store cleaning chemicals and supplies properly. Protect guests’ belongings, delivering lost and found items immediately. Proactively monitor the park for safety hazards, such as wet floors or tripping hazards. Maintain records of all work completed and safety inspections. Ensure ADA standards are met in each location. Perform all other duties and special projects assigned by leadership. Languages & Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws. Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English. Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus. No education requirements; prior work experience is not required. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reliable transportation to and from work. Valid driver’s license and good driving record (if operating vehicles). Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment. Capability to comply with all uniform policies. Strong attention to detail and desire to keep the park clean and presentable. Proficiency in the use of cleaning equipment, including brooms, mops, and chemicals. Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with park guidelines. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to resolve questions, problems, and concerns professionally. Ability to follow direction, multi‑task, and work in a team as well as independently. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, or squat for long periods. Remain on feet for the majority of the workday. Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Use hands to grasp, control, and move objects or tools consistently. See details of objects that are more than a few feet away. Working Conditions Frequent exposure to all outdoor and indoor areas of the park. Variable outdoor temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, and ice. Constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and highly populated areas. Exposure to cleaning chemicals and bloodborne pathogens. Proper personal protective equipment required in these situations.
