Health First Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Primary Care team at our Surgical Center in Longview, Texas. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment where patient care is our top priority. Work Environment

The Surgical Center is an onsite facility equipped with the latest medical technology, creating an environment that promotes efficiency and patient safety. You will be working a consistent schedule of 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, concluding each day by 5:00 PM. Our center emphasizes teamwork, and you will be surrounded by likeminded professionals who value collaboration and commitment to patient health.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine patients and analyze their medical histories to provide accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies, to inform treatment plans.
• Diagnose a range of health conditions, from acute illnesses to chronic diseases, and create tailored treatment protocols.
• Prescribe medications and explain management plans for both chronic and infectious health issues.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, prescribed treatments, and strategies for disease prevention.
• Promote overall health by advocating for preventive measures and wellness initiatives within the community.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the advancement of clinical practices through research and policy discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse patient community that seeks care for various health issues, ranging from routine check-ups to complex surgical follow-ups. By working closely with other healthcare providers, you will ensure each patient receives personalized care designed to meet their specific healthcare needs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a hospital, clinic, or urgent care setting.
• Valid Texas State Physician Assistant license and certification as PA-C, as well as a DEA number.
• Strong clinical skills in primary, acute, and chronic care practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient care regulations and ethics in healthcare.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in specific specialties such as Internal Medicine, cardiology, urgent care, or emergency department settings.
