Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays, and every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care on a telemetry unit specializing in pulmonary, cardiac, and medical-surgical nursing for adult and geriatric patients. The unit features 16 monitored beds with centralized telemetry monitoring. Nurses will work collaboratively on a team, leveraging their skills in cardiac telemetry and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a telemetry setting.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, managing dysrhythmias as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in the education of patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a telemetry or similar setting is required.
• Current RN license in West Virginia or a Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Cardiac Telemetry experience is mandatory.
