Registered Nurse RN Emergency Room Weekends

Job Summary As a Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Room Weekends, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn through collaboration with managers, hospital councils, and national nursing initiatives. You help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and support the future of nursing. Responsibilities Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs to resolve them proactively. Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translate complex medical terminology for complete understanding. Educate patients/families/caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepare them for future self‑management. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license. Registered Nurse Diploma. Emergency Nurse Pediatric or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date. Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse or Trauma Nursing Core Course certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
