Position Overview

Bonneville Peak Rehab and Wellness Center is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in San Jose, California. This is a full-time position focused on delivering exceptional care to patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients reclaim their mobility and enhance their overall quality of life through tailored treatment protocols and personalized care.

Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is designed to support diverse therapeutic activities, specifically in sports medicine and orthopedic care. Our team consists of talented professionals, including two licensed Physical Therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to promote patient recovery and wellness.

Work Environment

This position requires onsite work within our fully equipped rehabilitation center located in the heart of San Jose. The clinic is designed to foster a positive and motivational atmosphere, featuring advanced therapeutic equipment and a welcoming setting for patients. You will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional life while dedicating yourself fully to your patients' healing journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine rehabilitation needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one physical therapy sessions, managing a caseload of one patient per hour for efficient and effective treatment delivery.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities to improve patients' mobility, function, and overall well-being.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to design integrated care strategies that enhance patient recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to promote wellness, including exercise regimens and lifestyle modifications.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process to maximize their functional potential.
• Emphasize preventive care techniques to minimize pain and reduce the need for more invasive procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals who have undergone orthopedic surgeries or are suffering from musculoskeletal injuries. With a focus on those with private medical insurance, our approach seeks to ensure that patients not only recover but thrive in their day-to-day activities. You will be instrumental in helping these patients regain their mobility, strength, and confidence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• State certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist with a clean professional record.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing customized exercise protocols.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to ensure accurate documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally within a sports medicine focus.
• Familiarity with developing wellness and fitness plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Demonstrated ability in using innovative treatment strategies that lead to improved patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
