Job Duties
Duties listed are at full performance grade GW-11 level.
Coordinate emergency communications, and assist with the overall execution of activities of a dispatch center.
Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies through the national dispatch system to ensure rapid, focused, and cost-effective responses to wildland fires, law enforcement as needed, and wildland urban interface/intermix situations.
Apply administrative and technical methods, practices, and procedures of fire suppression dispatching, as well as agency policies and programs, to execute complete conventional projects or oversee day-to-day operations.
Responsible for the administration, integration, and oversight of the use of telecommunication equipment, computer based applications, and other related communications equipment.
Responsible for the cost effective management of the center by controlling the expenditure of funds and maintaining necessary funding and property records.
Supervises employees performing dispatch work at various grade levels. Provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the dispatch center.
