Overview Applied Materials’ Finance Department is recruiting MBA students to fill full‑time finance roles in Austin, TX. New hires join our Financial Planning and Analysis Finance team, which provides financial analytics and investment decision support for the Worldwide Operations team, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product development organizations. Job Description This role under the Worldwide Operations Finance team will support driving FP&A activities for the manufacturing and supply chain that delivers world‑class product for Applied Materials. You will analyze and develop content for Applied Materials CFO and Worldwide Operations CFO, product groups, investor relations and treasury, and present that content in an effective way. The position requires a high level of diligence as majority of the reporting and presentations will serve executive management of the company. Primary Responsibilities Perform spend analytics in a way that considers business decisions and actionable insights Perform regular predictive financial modeling, monitoring outcomes, and rapid revision Interpret financial results into insights and recommendations for presentations to executives Manage and update content as needed for investor relations events and board meetings Provide financial modeling, analysis, and valuation support for acquisitions and projects Identify and implement reporting of key financial metrics that enable meaningful insights and improve the visibility of company’s financial results Partner with Information Technology professionals to enable implementation of reporting systems and processes across Finance Act as a finance business partner and subject matter expert across the business Requirements MBA degree, with 4‑7 years prior work experience in Finance or Accounting preferred Strong communication and influence skills, with attention to detail and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including data visualization and Excel Intellectual curiosity to learn the business, improve processes and strive for excellence Ability to work with minimal guidance in a fast‑paced, global environment Employment Details Time Type: Full time Employee Type: New College Grad Travel: Not Specified Relocation Eligible: Yes Additional Information The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
