Individually prepare and/or create meals for clients based on their needs./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliEnsure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock./liliEnsure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters./liliInspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices./liliMeasure portions, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons./liliWeigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment./liliSeason and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience./liliWash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption./liliBake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods./liliObserve and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils./liliMaintain food, beverage, or equipment inventories./liliClean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment./li/ulpSupervisory Duties, Responsibilities and Activities: N/A/ppDirect Reports: N/A/ph3Requirements/h3pQualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
