Job Overview Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – responsible for repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, installing and troubleshooting automated packaging and distribution equipment, and supporting the Operations Maintenance Team. Key Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Perform preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Create, assign, and close work orders with data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Track and store department inventory. Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills. Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the Operations facility. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 1+ year of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project for document creation and management. Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher from a vocational school or college focused on mechanical or electrical fields. Experience with MHE safety standards, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, and safety regulations. Experience operating and maintaining robotic equipment. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical Demands Must reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and use an aerial lift. Frequent lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs. Tasks requiring wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes. Regular crouching, bending, and reaching to install or move equipment. Movement between departments, floors, and properties averaging 6–12 miles per day. Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. Typing on a computer for 1–2 hours per day. Compensation & Benefits Hourly salary range: $28.38 – $33.39. Weekly pay.
