Hiring Forklift Operator With Pay Up To $20/hour In New Lenox, IL

Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down propane quad forklift safely and efficiently.
• Pick customer orders and stack products onto pallets.
• Retrieve materials from higher rack locations using a forklift.
• Use RF scanners to accurately pick and process orders.
• Wrap completed pallets and prepare them for shipment.
• Stage orders for outbound trucks.
• Load trucks with completed customer orders.
• Change propane tanks on forklifts as needed.
• Handle and lift boxes of steel pipe fittings weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of sit-down propane forklift experience.
• Minimum 1 year of order picking experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience using RF scanners.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working at heights while retrieving products from elevated storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Pay & Shift:

Pay:

• Starting pay: $18.00/hour
• Increase to $19.00/hour after 30 days based on attendance and performance.
• Increase to $20.00/hour after 60 days based on attendance and performance.
• Monthly performance bonus opportunity of up to 10% of total monthly earnings , which can add approximately $1.80/hour to overall earnings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Lenox, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
