Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Preferred Acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor Required - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS Required - AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS Required Must-Have: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients.
