About the Job

The YMCA is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible driver to transport children to and from school as part of our Before and After School program. The ideal candidate will prioritize the safety and well-being of the children in their care at all times.

Responsibilities:

- Safely transport children to and from school according to assigned schedules

- Ensure all passengers are properly seated and wearing seatbelts

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle

- Communicate with parents, school staff, and YMCA staff as needed

- Adhere to all traffic laws and YMCA policies and procedures

- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with clean driving record

- Experience working with children preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations

- Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening

Schedule:

- Part-time position, Monday-Friday mornings and afternoons

- Additional hours may be available for field trips and special events
