Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state of the art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions. • Utilizes technical skills and abilities to accurately handle and process specimens

• Follows laboratory procedures for specimen processing and maintains quality control of sLabpecimen samples.

• Correctly identifies proper tubes, containers, transport media, and storage temperature for each test type

• Determines specimen acceptability, consulting with specimen processing supervisor, technologist, or pathologist as needed taking appropriate action when necessary

• Understands and follows all safety, infection control, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines

• Operate standard laboratory equipment and some specialized equipment.

• Demonstrates efficiency by performing procedures rapidly and determining priority

• Record testing information and files laboratory reports.

• Inventory and order laboratory and office supplies.

• Communicates with laboratory staff and its clients to ensure quality patient care.

• Respects and maintains the confidentiality of information relative to practice and patients.

• Clean and restock laboratory facility.

• Maintain a safe environment in the laboratory.

• Enthusiastically performs miscellaneous duties with completion in a designated time frame.

• Travels to satellite locations and floats to other clinics if needed
• Maintains and works with flow cytometry equipment efficiently and accurately
