Desktop SupportProvide project support in 2022 to replace the anti-virus software across all workstations within a non-standard lab Research Network (Windows 95-10). Consult with Engineers, Scientists, Lab Technicians and project team to coordinate the anti-virus replacement.Primary FunctionsProject technical support:Schedule workstations for anti-virus replacement; report progress to project teamBackup workstationsUninstall Symantec EndPoint Protection SoftwareInstall Sentinel OneTroubleshooting issues related to S1 deploymentMisc.Observe company safety & security guidelinesDocument all processes and procedures as needed and share findings with peersWork with external vendors as required to resolve issues, test solutions, and implement fixesAttributesEffective engagement with IT support teams and project manager.The role is a customer-intimate support model and requires great communication skills and a strong focus on customer service.Ability to work independently to plan, organize and execute work across a large set of users and desktops.Motivated individual who is willing to drive project work to completion, be challenged and able to work under changing priorities/systems.Required SkillsAnti-virus Software for Windows desktopsPreferred: Sentinel One, Symantec EndPoint ProtectionBackup toolsPreferred: Ghost, Acronis, Symantec System Recovery, Veritas System Recovery, VeeamWindows desktop troubleshootingPreferred SkillsSCCMPowerShell, Batch, CMDAdvanced Desktop Infrastructure background
