Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12 Hour Nights)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience
• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Active NIHSS certification
• Competent with cardiac medications (e.g. Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) and knowledge of titration and application of these medications
• Competent in telemetry and knowledge of heart rhythms
• Critical thinking skills, ability to recognize changes in patient status and intervene
• Knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke and ability to intervene as necessary

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Utilize age-specific criteria for care delivery
• Teach and direct non-RN staff as needed
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
