Family Law Intake Advocate

Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, a private, non‑profit law firm is seeking a full time Legal Intake Advocate to screen low‑income clients for eligibility for legal aid, provide legal information to clients under the supervision of a lawyer, prepare legal documents, do data entry, and assist attorneys with other duties as assigned in the Family Law area. Paralegal or legal experience preferred. Successful candidates must be able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced deadline driven environment, be a team player, be dependable and organized, detail oriented, and be able to move between files/projects easily. Excellent communication and public interactions a must. Prefer bilingual candidate, English/Spanish but not required. Starting salary range is $41,000.00 to $54,000.00 depending on experience with annual increases available. Is able to understand the lives and struggles confronting low‑income and vulnerable people in our community. Enjoys providing legal information to someone who might need extra patience understanding their legal issues. An empathetic communicator with a positive attitude.
