Storm Duty Requirements Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures. X 5 Days Hiring Manager: Nathan Campbell Recruiter: Mark Koener Notes: TITLE: Sr. Database Administrator, Progression Performance Coach: Manager, Application Development & Support (AD&S) Department: Information Technology & Telecommunications/Enterprise & Business Solutions Position Concept Designs, implements, and maintains all components of Database Management Systems (DBMSs). Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring database–related projects and maintenance activities. Develops and implements database strategies that support corporate-wide access to business data. Please note: this position can be hired at any level within the job family progression, but ideally at this time, we are seeking to fill it at the Sr. level. Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline is required. Preferred: N/A Licenses/Certifications Required: None Preferred: Holds an industry-level database administration certification from Microsoft or Oracle. Experience Direct Experience Required: A minimum of four years of direct work experience in database administration is required, however other IT experience may be considered in lieu of specific DBA experience. Preferred: N/A Working Conditions Working in an office environment Responsibilities — Senior/Associate/Lead Database Administrator Associate Database Administrator Primary duties include supporting development projects, modeling data requirements, implementing backup/recovery strategies, on-call database support, monitoring/tuning, and maintaining knowledge of database technologies. Senior Database Administrator Primary duties include coordinating work, providing SQL guidance, maintaining database technologies, participating in upgrades and data integration, and ensuring data integrity across corporate databases. Lead Database Administrator Primary duties include leadership of the Database Administration team, project coordination, advanced SQL guidance, technology evaluation, and ensuring the ongoing integrity of corporate databases and architecture.
