Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Evening Shift: 4:00pm-2:30am Monday-Thursday
Starting Wage: $38/HR
Occasional overtime and weekend shifts

We are looking for an experience Maintenance Technician to join our team.

In this position, you will perform maintenance work on existing manufacturing equipment, maintain and build new equipment and tools, and work with each department to ensure the highest quality product is produced.

Essential Duties:

1. Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment — including Allen-Bradley PLC and Trio motion controls, pneumatic systems, roll forming lines, drives, and mechanical assemblies.
2. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and controls-level faults using schematics and test equipment; escalate to OEMs or controls integrators as needed.
3. Occasional forklift operation.
4. Fabricate necessary repair components as needed to get machines up and running in a timely fashion.
5. Work with other departments as necessary to ensure high quality and efficient production. 
6. Follow all safety protocols. 
7. Champion an overall culture of teamwork and cooperation between locations and departments.
8. Provide assistance in all areas with a can-do attitude.

Marginal Duties:

1. Assist in Production areas as requested.
2. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Competencies Required:

• Ability to create and maintain relationships
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Welding/cutting metal experience
• Solid mechanical aptitude with pneumatic and mechanical drive systems (chains, belts, bearings, gearboxes).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Practical, resourceful problem-solver who can fabricate a fix or fixture when a stock part isn't available.
• Prompt, reliable attendance and the ability to respond to off-hours equipment issues as needed.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Education and Experience: 
High School or GED required, and 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully to perform the essential responsibilities and duties as listed above.     

Equipment/Software used:

• Safety Glasses, Gloves, and ANSI-approved work boots
• Pneumatic, Hand, and Electric Tools
• Forklift and Scissor Lift
• Mill Machine and Drill Press
• Welder and Plasma Cutter
