A Quality Assurance Associate performs a critical role in our food logistics process by ensuring all product received into the warehouse, product slotted and stored, and product shipped to our customers meets or exceeds all quality standards/SQF requirements. This role will perform continual daily checks of all product, and accept/reject product as needed. Position keeps accurate record of product inspection and determines when product should be removed from inventory. In addition, we all work to maintain cleanliness in the warehouse.
What You'll Do:
- Obey all safety standards for the warehouse, and keep a clean and neat work area.
- Communicate with Inbound/Outbound Operations and Procurement team on any issues or concerns related to stock on hand.
- Make recommendations on when product should be pulled from inventory and not utilized for customer orders.
- Identify all products according to size, origin and count.
- Inspect and count all product upon arrival to ensure quality standards have been maintained through transit, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate quality records, including product temperatures.
- Help to ensure product rotation in a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method; assist as needed with product rotation.
- Help perform inventory and reconciliation processes.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, and do so safely.
- Preferred experience assessing quality in a food warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform these functions in a cold warehouse environment.
