Cardiovascular Radiology Technician

Position Description Days - Cardiovascular Radiology Technician San Jose, CA SHIFT: Full Time Days with rotating weekends - 40 hours per week POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, operates fluoroscopic x-ray equipment. Provides clinically proficient and professional patient care. Assists in the performance of cardiac catheterization and other related procedures, including neuro, EP and peripheral procedures. Assists in inventory, quality improvement/assurance, patient follow-up and data collection programs. Oversees radiology programs. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: Accredited School of Radiology LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Current California Xray License California State Fluoroscopy license Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT - MUST have Sub Specialty RT Current BCLS, and ACLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: Two years' experience working in Cardiac Cath Lab or similar setting Preferred Experience: Experience working in Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or Interventional Radiology Department MUST have CURRENT acute care experience KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Cardiovascular anatomy and physiology Hemodynamic monitoring, Aseptic Techniques, Computer Knowledge Ability to operate radiological Equipment, patient observation and critical thinking and knowledgeable of Title 17. Ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management system.
