Rehabilitation Aide, First Shift, Outpatient TherapyThe Rehabilitation Aide provides non-skilled assistance in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a licensed physical therapist/occupational therapist/speech therapist/recreational therapist. This includes general cleanliness and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas, and assistance with clerical duties as indicated.ResponsibilitiesInvolves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient.Cleans all equipment used daily during patient care, including weights, swiss balls, modalities and carts, assistive devices, nautilus machines and cardiovascular equipment.Performs general patient treatment and assistance as directed by the physical therapist/occupational therapist including stretching and strengthening exercises, wheelchair follow, gait, transfers and fabrication of adaptive equipment including leg straps and padding/completion of bi-valve casts.Assists with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies.Refills ultrasound gel bottles in patient treatment areas for easy accessibility during patient care.Follows direction of licensed therapist in the delivery of patient care, and reports patient response to treatment and patient/family questions to therapist for follow up.QualificationsHigh School Education RequiredCertified in CPR, RequiredCustomer service and interpersonal skills, RequiredAbout UC HealthUC Health is an integrated academic health system serving Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
