Our client is a growing manufacturing organization seeking a detail-oriented Customer Operations Specialist to support customer accounts and coordinate daily activities between customers and internal teams. This position works closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, and other business partners to ensure orders are accurately managed and customer requirements are met.

The Customer Operations Specialist will play an important role in coordinating customer activity from order placement through fulfillment. This is not a traditional high-volume customer service or order-entry position. Instead, the role focuses on monitoring order information, confirming product availability, coordinating with internal departments, and keeping customers and stakeholders informed.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with data and ERP systems, and skilled at following up on multiple items at once. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with managers and leadership on a daily basis are important for success.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating customer orders and operational activities to ensure orders are accurately processed and fulfilled.
• Acting as a communication link between customers and internal teams including Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Logistics.
• Monitoring order status, product availability, shipping requirements, and other information needed to keep customer commitments on track.
• Assisting with returns, claims, deductions, credit requests, pricing questions, and other account-related issues.
• Researching discrepancies and working with Finance and Sales to identify solutions and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
• Maintaining accurate customer, pricing, order, and account information within ERP and related systems.
• Supporting EDI transactions, customer portals, system updates, testing, and other technology-related initiatives.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual work, and create a more efficient customer experience.
• Collaborating on cross-functional projects and providing support for additional operational initiatives as needed.

Qualifications include:

• 3+ years of experience in customer service, customer operations, account coordination, or a related field.
• B2B customer service or customer operations experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience working with an ERP or CRM system required.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent follow-up and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable coordinating information across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Able to communicate effectively with managers, customers, and internal leadership.
