Job Summary
Ultrasonographer Echo (ULTRA ECHO) Location unspecified. This position involves independently performing imaging procedures involving transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and contrast studies in a healthcare facility. The role requires expertise in ultrasound instrumentation, image acquisition, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality cardiac ultrasound services for inpatient and outpatient populations.

Job Details

• Responsibilities:
  Performs Cardiac Ultrasound procedures following established guidelines and protocols, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography with contrast. Utilizes ultrasound equipment effectively to obtain optimal images, including M-Mode, 2D, Doppler, Color Flow Doppler, and bubble studies. Assists with invasive procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards. Communicates clearly with patients, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety. Ensures all exams are accurately coded, documented, and properly stored electronically, with charges entered appropriately.
• Required Qualifications:
  Completion of formal training in an accredited ultrasound program or professional equivalent, with 2 years of experience. Licenses and Certifications include: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience with pediatric echocardiography is desirable but not mandatory.
• Schedule:
  8-hour day shifts starting between 6:30 and 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday duties. Call rotation approximately one weekday every other week and one weekend every six weeks, subject to staffing adjustments.
• Additional Information:
  Both inpatient and outpatient clinical locations are on rotation. Candidates should be prepared to work at multiple sites and participate in call responsibilities.
