job DUTIES:


This position requires basic mechanical skills to perform preventative maintenance on all furnaces and compressors, which includes but not limited to the following:


-Inspect spark plugs and make sure that they are functioning properly.


-Grease all furnace components such as bearings, pulleys and other parts that may require greasing.


-Inspect all belts on pulleys and other motors that drive fans.


-Check all compressors and perform basic oil changes.


-You will be required to climb furnace, while wearing fall protection, to perform these tasks.


-Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS:


We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder (Astro is an ITAR-registered company)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience with industrial manufacturing or general labor is preferred.
• Overtime and availability to work weekends may be required.
• Possess basic welding and fabrication skills, as well as basic electrical skills.
• Ability to comprehend & communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus
